He drove himself to the urgent care, where physicians found bleeding in his brain, but no additional worsening. Moy needed a year of physical therapy to regain his right side motor skills, which included learning to write with his right hand again and walking with cane for support on sets. He has since made a full recovery. Until 2017, Moy kept the incident a secret from the media.

In addition to recurring as Shawn the Mathlete on iCarly, Moy has made appearances on How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Zeke and Luther, Good Luck Charlie, and Kickin’ It.
