Katherine Victoria Litwack known professionally as Kat Dennings is an American Actress. She was born on June 13, 1986. She is best known for her starring roles as Darcy Lewis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Superhero films Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), and the Disney+ miniseries WandaVision (2021). She also starred as Max Black in the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls from 2011 to 2017.
Dennings has appeared in movies since she made her acting debut in 2000 including The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Big Momma’s House 2 (2006), Charlie Bartlett (2007), The House Bunny (2008), Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (2008), Defendor (2009), and Suburban Gothic (2014).

Kathy Dennings was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Her father, Gerald J. Litwack, is a Molecular Pharmacologist, College Professor and Chairman. Her mother, Ellen Judith Litwack, is a poet and speech therapist. She is the youngest of five kids. Her Family are Jews. Dennings grew up in the famous Penn Cottage, which she alleges was haunted, which was established in 1694 in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
Dennings in 2008 said Judaism “is an important part of my history, but, as a whole, religion is not a part of my life.” She sees herself as being more religiously affiliated than ethnically or culturally.

Dennings began her career at age 9 by appearing in commercials. She stated that her family never had enough money for formal acting training.
Her first acting gig was in a potato chips commercial which included a poisonous ingredient that was never released to consumers. She initially worked as an extra to obtain her SAG card.
Dennings made her first major television role on the HBO’s Sex and the City in 2000, in the episode “Hot Child in the City”, as an obnoxious 13-year-old who hires Samantha to handle publicity for her bat mitzvah. Then, from 2001 to 2022, she played Sarah, a 15-year-old raised by her widower father (Bob Saget), along with a preteen sister, on the short-lived WB sitcom Raising Dad (Brie Larson). In the Disney Channel movie The Scream Team from 2002, Dennings played a teenager who accidentally runs into a group of ghosts. She was originally cast for a five-episode stint on The WB’s Everwood, but Nora Zehetner was later cast in her place.
